Christmas with the National Trust.

The way in which some National Trust properties are presented during the Christmas buildup is impressive to say the least. An opportunity to catch a glimpse of the way people celebrated the season in the past is cleverly illustrated.

For those of us who generally find the grounds more interesting, this is a time when the houses provide a welcome bit of shelter from the elements and a spectacle that is well worth the time spent...

Charlecotte Hall

This charming property has a fallow deer herd, but the focus today was the Christmas decorations reflecting its Victorian heritage.
