Autumn Colours and Fallow Deer at Calke Abbey, Charlecote and Attingham Parks.

In spite of continuing dull and rainy weather it has been possible to find the occasional sunny spell that has allowed the camera to do Nature`s Autumn Beauty some justice. These three National Trust properties providing that magical mix of Oak Trees, Deer and some impressive architecture required to produce a few images that are (hopefully) a little different.

Calke Abbey never fails to deliver, be it birds at the feeders, deer or lovely landscapes. Here is a selection from the images that have ended-up on Flikr...

Charlecote Park in Stratford-upon-Avon is a lovely place with very approachable Fallow Deer and some great architecture. Low Autumn sunlight in the mid-afternoon just completed the pallette.

Finally, as the first `named` storm of the season hurtled in from the West, a few hours of glorious sunshine while walking around Attingham Park provided some exciting acrion from the Fallow Deer as well as more lovely seasonal colours.

Now that Winter is finally here (although temperatures remain at record highs) we must look forward to the arrival of wintering migrants and the need for thermals....
